Albany Town Hall
Beautiful historically significant local icon, built in 1887 and still in use today for artisans & exhibitors. A quaint old building. Would be great to have tours through some of its older passages and bell tower.

AMAZING TO SEE THIS LITTLE PIECE OF 19th CENTURY BRITAIN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!!The Albany Town Hall, erected in 1887, is true to the design of what was then the motherland" of England. Indeed even the street it is on is called York St!Great to see these older buildings preserved / restored.Check out the ceremonial plaque on the facade noting the establishment of the first British settlement in the area in 1827!"

Albany Town Hall
Albany Town Hall no longer houses the civic city offices, which have now moved to larger premises in North Road. This beautiful building with its distinctive chiming four faced clock was opened in 1888, being the first civic building to be built in Fredericktown (now Albany). Currently this building provides gallery viewing for various art and other exhibitions. Visitors may check with the Albany Council for upcoming events and opening times.
